Mindfulness Trainings in European Schools
As part of the Mindful Horizons Erasmus+ Project, additional teacher training sessions were organised in European schools independently of the project meetings. These trainings were carried out as dissemination activities to support the professional development of teachers in different countries.
A total of 51 teachers from three European countries participated in these trainings. The programme focused on mindfulness, emotional literacy, stress management, and wellbeing in education. Participants gained both theoretical knowledge and practical classroom strategies that they could immediately implement in their own schools.
Throughout the workshops, teachers experienced breathing techniques, attention and focus exercises, emotional regulation activities, and mindfulness practices designed to enhance students’ wellbeing. The sessions also provided valuable opportunities for educators from different countries to exchange experiences and share effective classroom practices.
These international trainings helped extend the impact of the Mindful Horizons project beyond its partner organisations, reaching more educators across Europe and promoting the integration of mindfulness-based approaches into school education.
